Rest Day in Bucharest

July 9th
0km

Relaxing rest day after yesterday's running around. Went to a bike shop in the morning where Nicole bought some new crank set bolts. Her old bolts were stripped, and she had borrowed Theresa's, one of the tour leaders. Walked around the city a little bit and then headed back to the hotel for an afternoon of internet, reading, TV and relaxing. Bucharest felt too big to try and take in in only a day.

Graeme lost his wallet this morning while getting out of a taxi cab. As soon as he realized it was gone, he spotted the 90L Northface duffel bag he had been looking for in a shop window...and then is started to rain torrentially. Bad luck.
Manon lived in Bucharest for several years, so a group of us went out to dinner with one of her old friends in the city. Fancy restauraunt but it took us 2 hours to get our mediocre food. We didn't get home until midnight...well past my bedtime.
